H3's Adult Intensive Outpatient Program

An intensive outpatient program (IOP) is a type of mental health program designed for people who need intensive mental health treatment and extra time for skill building more than weekly individual therapy but need less intensive than inpatient or partial hospitalization care.

At H3, our adult IOP focuses on helping those aged 18 years and older who need more support than weekly individual therapy sessions or don't meet the criteria for inpatient treatment. Our program allows adult to continue to work while receiving the support they need. This includes completing individual therapy, group therapy, and medication management.

This program can help adults with a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, sleep, suicidality, work performance, confidence, relationships, mood swings, emotional regulation, stress management, and so on. During sessions, teens would work on building skills through cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, experiential therapy, and mindfulness therapy to improve their ability to deal with their own mental health issues and the everyday challenges that life brings.

Topics and skills to be covered in H3's Adult IOP include substance use, self-harm, crisis planning, nutrition, sleep, self-care, yoga, breath work, grounding skills, education and coping skills for depression and anxiety, building and keeping relationships, conflict resolution, and applying skills to daily life.
